Video - Greyson Chance Kicks Off Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin's Inaugural Events

Greyson may still be enjoying his week-long vacation but he took time out yesterday to have lunch with the Governor of Oklahoma Mary Fallin.

The singer was part of Fallin’s inaugural ceremony back in January after she as elected and the two have remained friends ever since.

Greyson took to twitter to say,

“Had lunch today with the Governor of Oklahoma, Mary Falin. We had such a great time!”

Earlier this year, Greyson Chance gave a performance and interview with Oklahoma News 9 that not a lot of people got to see.

He was asked to perform at the inauguration ceremony for the first female Governor of the state - Mary Fallin.

This was somewhat of an historical event and Greyson was chosen by Governor Fallin to headline the show because he is a success story for the state.

Greyson says,

"I'm just really excited to be back and support the inaugural of Mary Fallin - and I hope I said that right inaugural.”

Funny kid.

Oklahoma local News 9 was there and got an interview with both Greyson and Governor Fallin!

After his performance Greyson met up with Channel 9 news to talk about his music, tour, and roller coasters.

The performance was held at the Edmond Science Museum’s “Fun for Family” event to celebrate Fallin’s new job.

Earlier this week Greyson tweeted that he was taking the week off but will jump back into the grind later this month to perform free shows at a number of hard rock cafes across the country.

His schedule also takes him to York Pennsylvania on September 17th.
