In what can only be described as an exciting time for Enchancers around the world, singer songwriter Greyson Chance just wrapped up a two week trip to California after working on his upcoming new album and rehearsing for this weekend's show in New York.

But it wasn’t all work as Greyson also had the time to take in the Jason Mraz show with his fellow Management teammate Cody Lovaas!

So, it all started on August 24th when Greyson tweeted that he was on his way to California and in his usual mysterious way chose not to tell anybody what he would be doing.

Greyson’s first stop was in Venice California where he worked alongside the famed canals and waterways in a bungalow studio that looked like a throwback to the 1960’s.

Greyson then visited the “Room 5 Lounge" to perform a private show for his Management team to reveal and rehearse his new songs for his upcoming album.

It was the first time in a while that Greyson had actually been on a stage performing and his excitement was obvious when he took to twitter to say,
“Felt so good to be back on stage again tonight my identity is new but my purpose is true I love playing music…”
Greyson’s new identity seems to come from another couple inches of height, an updated shorter haircut, and a few new finger rings added to his standard hipster attire!

From there it was off to the famous “Bedrock Studios” which is notorious for having a vending machine that dispenses guitar strings, drum sticks, and batteries, along with a few choice selections of candies!

It is also famous for the “Pinball Room” where artists can play vintage games to blow off steam during recording or rehearsal sets.

Greyson also posted a video while walking the halls at the Bedrock:

The artistic side of Greyson also seemed to emerge during this trip and he posted more selfies and high quality photos of himself than he has in a long time. First up was his collection of hipster gear and his “Shapes And Paints” selfie:

Kind of makes us wonder if that little brain is already contemplating album cover art for his upcoming new LP release…

Then it was off to Santa Barbara California for a little relaxation and a chance to watch his fellow team member Jason Mraz perform at the “Santa Barbara Bowl” where Greyson took a few photos with Jason and fellow team member and new artist Cody Lovaas.

The return trip back to Los Angeles for more song writing, recording, and rehearsals was briefly interrupted when Greyson and his team had a small run in with the Cops for a parking violation. But don’t worry, these things are usually cleared up by mail and cost about $50.

Greyson than secluded himself in the studio with fellow musicians "The Fliptones", Jeremy Thurber and famed producer Roy Battle to write and record two new songs in a 24 hour period!

Of course Jeremy posted a Vine showing him and Greyson, um… working really hard and definitely not goofing around. Okay, they were goofing around…

Once Enchancers learned Roy was in the studio with Greyson they blew up his twitter account and learned that Greyson is one of the most humble, talented, hardworking sixteen year olds in the music industry.

Greyson also tweeted that they ran out of paper during a music writing session and he had to resort to penning new lyrics in one of his books. Greyson then shared a photo of the new lyrics with a little Italian thrown in…

In his next tweet he said, "I need you in my life..." and used the hash tag #Italia - making some fans wonder if Cheyenne and Leila should be packing their bags and looking for a new boyfriend. But then again, maybe he was just enjoying a nice Italian dinner!

One of the most interesting tweets Greyson shared appears to be lyrics to another new song, but it was the photo that really got our curiosity.

Greyson said,
"Sleep in our cars, wake in the morning realize who we are.."
Now, when Greyson Tweets in quotes like that we know he is making reference to new lyrics, but the attached photo may speak volumes as to the true nature of his work that day…

Confused? How can that picture really tell us anything?

If you look close there is a telescoping boom microphone with a reflection cone in the center.

We know it’s a little blurry… but it’s there. Why is this important?

Because that’s the type of boom microphone that is used in making music videos!

And if you've watched any of Greyson’s behind the scenes shots from “Making the SCL music video” while in New York last year you will see the SAME type of microphone being used.

Nobody seemed to pick up on that in the photo but we suspect Greyson was also working on a new music video while in California.

Next came the “Good Morning” selfie that heated up the fan base to the point that Twitter almost melted down.

And if that wasn’t enough to get Greyson’s fans wound up he also released a new song snippet!

And to top it all off Esquire Magazine included Greyson in their 80th Anniversary "The Life of a Man" edition that included a great close-up shot of Greyson and a short video where he talks about the best advice he ever received.

Esquire Magazine also included this amazing close-up head shot of Greyson that shows off his freckles and vampire lower teeth...

We also know that Greyson spent time rehearsing for his upcoming show in New York on September 15th, 2013 where he will be appearing with Austin Mahone, Jason Mraz, Emblem3, and Ed Sheeran as part of the 14th Annual T.J. Martell Foundations Family Day fight against leukemia, cancer, and Aids.

Greyson then went alien on us with a tweet about feelings that seemed a little odd and we’re not sure if they are new lyrics or not, but the photo he attached almost killed us…

Greyson said,
“This feeling ain't human; it's #ALIEN”
And this was the photo he attached… the cutest alien we’ve ever seen!

Greyson also performed a set for his friends and the team from Bill Silva Management (BSM) in Hollywood Thursday night in what looks like a rehearsal for this weekends show in New York.

Greyson said,
"Casa Hollywood & Vine - Got to play for my friends tonight... good time."
He also posted the following photo that shows him playing the piano while Newman the dog stands guard!

So, that’s about it for this recap!

Greyson is now getting ready to travel to New York for his show this weekend, and as usual… we will have our Ninjas on the loose.

Word on the street is that Greyson's ENTIRE set in New York is going to be new songs. So yea, we're dying over here...

See you on Twitter!

  2. For those that weren't watching, #Italia is a very pretty Filipino girl that was bantering on twitter with Jeremy and Roy while Grey was working in the studio... Then Grey tweeted "I NEED YOU IN MY LIFE #Italia" OF course #Italia quickly went WWTTrend... That's part of a wild night Roy had with a big bunch of #Enchancers. He's a new Enchancer favorite, and a great guy, too..
