Greyson Chance took a grueling 15 hour flight over the weekend to Beijing China so he and his current band mate Michael Warren could attend the MTV Mandarin Awards Tuesday night.

But the first objective after landing was sleep, and Greyson took to his official Weibo account to tell his Chinese fans,
“Just arrived in Beijing! After sleeping for 12 hours I am ready for the day (: Here we go!!!”And go he did. Greyson visited Hit FM Radio China for an interview, and then did more press for newspapers, magazines, and anybody else that wanted a few minutes with the young music maker.

It is expected that Greyson will be receiving some type of award during the CCTV MTV Mandarin Awards TV broadcast, and that he will perform “Sunshine & City Lights” as well as another song.

A note on video censorship...
We were able to get our hands on several videos that we thought would be really cool to show our followers but China blocked them due to the closed nature of their Government controlled media.
In our time with the Greyson Chance Universe we have never run across full blown Government censorship until now and I must say – it was a really creepy feeling.
We’re not going to use this blog as a political platform other than to say that when you suppress freedom, freedom will at some point rise up and fight to be recognized.
It makes us sad for the children who grow up in such an environment, and who never have the chance to know any other way.
