Greyson on the Ellen Show December 9, 2011 |
Greyson Chance celebrated the release of his new music video for his song “Hold On ‘Til The Night” with a trip to visit his friend Ellen DeGeneres on Friday.
Greyson talked about his recent trip to Asia and told stories about the crazy fans in Jakarta (you know who you are), and about visiting an orphanage where he handed out candy and sang a few songs.

This is the first time a lot of people have seen Greyson with his new hair cut and it sure does seem like he's grown a few inches since the last time he was on the show!
But the BIG SURPRISE was he sang “Rockin Around The Christmas Tree” after the show finished taping!
Now that’s what we call a Christmas surprise!

LOVE “Rockin Around The Christmas Tree”. Wish he'd do more covers. He transforms them so cleverly to make them his own.
ReplyDeleteThe mark of an artist, NOT a pop singer.
I just LOVE it when he mentioned the city where i was born in ;)
ReplyDeleteJAKARTA BAYBEEHHHHH
AND YEZZIR WE R CRAYZAY! B)
Greyson's interpretation of this old chestnut is too radical for some. On the contrary I think it epitomises his talent, which is to take a song and transform it into something new and wonderful. Be it Gaga, songs written for him, or even his own compositions. These latter constantly evolve, so that you can never say what you think about his songs until you've heard all the versions!
ReplyDeleteThe rhythmic treatment of this song shows that Greyson is the equal of ANYONE on the contemporary music scene.
